 We believe in the Trinity, as the Bible teaches. This means that God , though one in essence, exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe God created men and women in His image to have a wonderful relationship with Him. Unfortunately, they were tempted by Satan and chose to defy God. As a result, mankind's relationship with God was severed. To restore our relationship with God, we need His "free gift" of eternal life that He made possible through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus.
We believe we are brought into a right relationship with God, saved from His wrath, and adopted into His family by putting our complete trust in Jesus Christ. God extends this free gift to us. We do not deserve it and can never earn it. We begin our new relationship with God when we personally receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord of our lives and repent (change our minds and turn away) from a lifestyle of sin.
As a matter of obedience, we believe every follower of Christ should be baptized and involved in a growing ministry, which includes telling others what Christ has done for them. |
