“Hanging Tough Together”

Phil 3: 12-16

 

As a Christ-follower, what does it mean to “press-on” and “hang tough” day after day?

How do I do it?

 

5 Statements:

 

1. The plan is progress, not perfection.

            Phil 3:13

 

2. The past is over, leave it.

            Phil 3:13a “Forgetting what lies behind.”

           

What is behind? If we had only to categories, we could list only two.

           

            a. There are great attainments and achievements.

 

            b. There are failures and areas of disappointments & defeat.

 

3. The future holds out hope, reach for it.

            Phil 3:14 “I press on …”

 

4. The secret is a determined attitude, maintain it.

            Phil 3: 14,15

 

5. The need is keeping a high standard together.

            Phil 3: 6-9
